The most-common drugs that can cause weight gain include steroids, antipsychotic drugs and insulin. This week I want to look at something that I know causes a great deal of additional stress to some people and that is, weight gain as a result of being given steroids as part of the cancer treatment. This can become a real issue for people and although I have not got a magic answer I have a few tips that may help.<\/p>\n

So, you need to use steroids under the supervision of your doctor.<\/li>\n
If you have any of these conditions, the person treating you will need to make sure the steroids aren\u2019t making the condition worse.<\/li>\n
It may help therefore to restrict your overall calorie intake slightly as your previous intake may now be a bit more than you need.<\/li>\n
